News from the Striders

The weather has set in and it has forgotten that March starts next week, not
January! Anyway here's hoping for an improvement soon. In the meantime watch
out for those icy patches! Roding Half today. No news or results as yet be keep
a look out on here. Talking of results, a bit late, but here are the results
from last weeks Great Bentley
10. Remember next week is the final Cross Country at One Tree Hill and the
week after is the first Open Club Championship event with the Brentwood Half.
Postal entries close 7th March, Monday week.

Apologies for no update last week.
A few Computer problems! That said though, not much better this week. I have
updated the Calendar and also updated the Cross Country pages with latest
results and the final race at One Tree Hill in two weeks. Also added this
seasons file to# the Club Championship page. So keep tuning in. I have also
moved the directory for the website, so if you hear of anyone having problems
getting access or finding us, please let me know.
Today was the Gt Bentley ten mile road race. Impressive considering it must
have been bitterly cold near the East Coast. Well done to the Six Striders that
finished the race with some impresive times as well. Results will be uploaded
during the week.

Well! What can one say! We host the
race, Crispian comes home first, Editor Kevin fourth, Amy seventh and win the
day by two points, Not very good hosts me thinks! Seriously though it is great
to be winners of a round once again. It has been a few years. Hopefully more to
come. Courtesy of Pitsea RC, who left details on my car, I have added the dates
of the 'Crown to Crown' Summer series to the Striders Calendar. All races take
place on the second Wednesday of the month from April to September, with two
additional events on Good Friday and Boxing Day. Location is Westley Heights
Country Park, behind 'The Crown' Public House (Havester), High Road, Langdon
Hills. £1 to enter!
