News from the Striders
24th March 2007
Just back from the Brentwood Half. What can I say. The Striders Men cleared up.
Steve Tidiman won the three mile fun run. (Scary to think a 12 y o was the
first lady home. One for London 2012?). Then Crispian retained his title
winning the half Marathon. I believe he was inside his time from last year.
Well done to all that took part, including the Juniors in the Fun Run. I am
sure all of them would like to say a big 'Thank You' to Ian Burge for helping
them prepare. Look forward to all the individual race reports on the forums.

Some updates!
Coach Kevin has sent through some updates on the Club Standard and where the
Striders faired against this bench mark last year. I will be asking Kevin where
the best home is for this on the website. In the meantime how 'Club Standard
works can be found here
and how the Striders faired can be found here Also added to the
website is details about Kit. This can be found at here
along with details on how to obtain kit from Ricky Lee. Don't forget the
Brentwood Half tomorrow and Club Handicap next Sunday morning.
3rd February 2007
Apologies for no updates for a
while. Work commitments. Hope to be free and back running by end of March. Slow
Strider and Web Master again! Two important updates.
First up photos from the presentation night can be found via the link on the
banner on the home page. Below the banner, you will find a link to the Striders
Forum. A big thank you to Keith Adams for setting this up. I am sure most of
you surfers will be familar with forums. If not, there is a guide on the home
page. Excellent way to keep in touch and you don't have to relay on the
webmaster!
Don't forget. Our Cross Country next weekend. Getting cooking those cakes and
be ready to Marshal.
7th January 2007
Don't forget, two cross countries
next week. Check out Striders Calendar and the Cross Country page.
29th December 2006
Don't forget, New Year's Day, Ron's
Run. See Striders calendar for details.
Well done to all the Striders that got out on Boxing Day. The highlights
from Crown to Crown was a fifth place for Andy Colman, followed nine seconds
behind in 6th Anthony Squire. Steve Tidiman came in ninth. Here are the full results. Business as usual at the Witham 5
with Crispian leading home the field with a minute and sixteen seconds to
spare. Begs the question what he had for Christmas Dinner and could he have had
more? Anyway congratulations to Crispian on another success and long may it
continue. Full results available here.
26th December 2006
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and were out pounding the roads and
trials today, either at Witham, Crown to Crown, or like me, just a training
run.
Apologies to all for the lack of updates on the website over the last couple of
months. I have been working away from home, but hopefully now should get some
time to keep the site up to date. I have updated the Cross Country pages,
Striders Calendar and obviously the news page. If you would like anything
added, please email
me.
